EVENING SNAPSHOT - Asia Markets Summary

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Here is Friday's end-of-day Asia oil and chemical markets summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: May WTI $105.64/bbl, up 4 cents/bbl; May BRENT $115.77/bbl, up 5 cents/bbl
Crude futures values edged a few cents above the previous session close. Supply worries, which have been heightened by the violence in Libya and unrest in the Middle East, served to support crude prices.

NAPHTHA: $1,000-1,002/tonne CFR Japan, up $9-10/tonne
Asia naphtha prices soared to $1,000-1,002/tonne CFR Japan on Friday, as global Brent crude futures held near $116/bbl.

BENZENE: $1,145-1,155/tonne FOB Korea, steady
Prices were largely stable in the afternoon although trading picked up pace with three deals heard for May loading at $1,149-1,155/tonne FOB Korea, while a fourth parcel for June lifting was heard traded at $1,140/tonne FOB Korea.

TOLUENE: $1,070-1,075/tonne FOB Korea, up $5/tonne
Prices edged higher as bids for any May loading were heard at $1,065-1,070/tonne FOB Korea, while offers were heard at $1,075-1,078/tonne FOB Korea.

ETHYLENE: $1,300-1,350/tonne CFR NE Asia, up $20/tonne
A deal for a 3,000-tonne cargo was widely heard at $1,350/tonne CFR China for mid-end April shipment, but bids in the broader market were capped at $1,300/tonne CFR NE Asia.

PROPYLENE: $1,570–1,620/tonne CFR NE Asia, stable
Propylene spot prices held steady with buy-sell indications at $1,570-1,620/tonne CFR NE Asia for April shipments.
