SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s JX Nippon Oil & Energy has bought an additional 40,000 kilolitres (kl), or 251,600 bbl, of 10 ppm gasoline for delivery in April to plug a severe domestic shortfall after the 11 March earthquake and tsunami, a company source said on Tuesday.

The cargoes, which hailed from South Korea, were on top of the 40,000 kl gasoline which was secured in the wake of the natural calamities, he said.

The supply was likely to go to Negishi port in Yokohama, the source added.
