SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thai Polypropylene plans to shut its 400,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Map Ta Phut, Rayong province, Thailand, at the end of April for two to three days to switch the line to produce block copolymer PP, a company source said on Tuesday.
"We’ve tried to produce block copolymers at the plant a few times, but we didn’t manage to do. So we’ll try again at the end of the April,” the source said.
Thai Polypropylene has delayed several of its shipments to China as a result of the technical problems at the plant, he said.
