SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Samsung Total Petrochemical plans to shut its two styrene monomer (SM) lines at Daesan at the end of April for maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.
The 280,000 tonne/year No 1 and 650,000 tonne/year No 2 lines will be shut for about a month, the source said.
“The units are scheduled to restart in late May," the source added.
Other SM producers in Korea include LG Chem, SK Energy and Honam Petrochemical.
