HOUSTON (ICIS)--Dow Chemical aims to sell four polypropylene (PP) plants, including two in the US and two in Europe, a US market source said on Thursday.

The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment on that report.

That follows an earlier report in the Financial Times that the company is working with investment bank Citi to sell its PP licensing and catalyst business, a development on which a Dow spokesperson declined to comment

“We don’t comment on any rumours or speculation in the marketplace,” said Dow spokesperson Bob Plishka.

Dow owns the widely-licensed UNIPOL process technology and the SHAC catalyst technology for PP.
