JAPAN DISASTER: Maruzen restarts Chiba naphtha cracker

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Maruzen Petrochemical has resumed operations at its 520,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in Chiba, which was shut following the 11 March earthquake and tsunami, a company official said on Monday.

“The cracker has restarted this morning,” he added.

Details on the operating rates were not immediately available.
