SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Lanzhou Petrochemical, a subsidiary of PetroChina, will shut down its 100,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant in mid-April, industry sources said on Friday.
The SBR plant, with two 50,000 tonnes/year lines each, will shut down for around one month from mid-April to mid-May on feedstock issue because of tight butadiene supply.
The company also runs another 50,000 tonne/year SBR line at the same site of northwestern Gansu province.
