PRAGUE (ICIS)--Poland’s PKN Orlen has struck a long-term deal with Zaklady Azoty Tarnow (ZAT) to supply it with benzene and phenol worth approximately zloty (Zl) 1.2bn ($432m, €302m), Orlen said on Friday.
The contract covered deliveries for five years from the present time, Orlen, Poland's major oil, chemicals and petrochemicals group, added.
ZAT, which produces nitrogen fertilizers, caprolactam and nylon 6 (polyamide 6) construction plastics, recently acquired a majority stake in Polish fertilizer and oxo-alcohols producer Zaklady Azotowe Kedzierzyn (ZAK).
In March, ZAT announced a petrochemical investment programme that would require expenditure of up to Zl 300m.
