MOVES: Wang Yilin appointed as chairman of China's CNOOC

SHANGHAI (ICIS)--Wang Yilin has been appointed as the new chairman and non-executive director of China’s largest offshore oil producer, CNOOC Limited, effective immeadiately, the company said on Friday.

Yilin will succeed Fu Chengyu, who has resigned, the company said in a disclosure to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

 “I will fulfill my duty with my best endeavor, to enhance the company’s capability of value creation and sustainable growth,” Yilin said.

Chengyu is serving as chairman of China’s largest refiner, Sinopec Group, after its former president, Su Shulin, took up a government post in the Fujian province on 2 April.
