Jam’s cracker was slated to resume operations on 12-14 April after it was taken off line on 24 March, when its seawater pipeline cooling system failed.
A company official had earlier said that a force majeure (FM) on ethylene and butadiene supply will remain in place at least until the end of April.
Jam’s cracker can produce 300,000 tonnes/year of propylene and around 115,000 tonnes/year of butadiene. The company’s polyethylene capacity is 600,000 tonnes/year.
