Air Products wins contract for Indonesia's Donggi-Senoro LNG project

TORONTO (ICIS)--Air Products has won a contract to supply technology and equipment to a 2m tonne/year liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Indonesia, the US-based industrial gases major said on Tuesday.

Air Products said it would supply its propane pre-cooled mixed refrigerant process and multicomponent refrigerant (MCR) main heat exchanger to Pertamina’s Donggi-Senoro LNG joint venture project in central Sulaweisi.

Donggi-Senoro will be Indonesia’s fourth LNG project when starting up in 2014, Air Products said. Financial details were not disclosed.

"This is a very important project for Indonesia's LNG industry and is a key to its continued substantial LNG supply to Japan and East Asia," said Bill Merlini, director, LNG Indonesia at Air Products.

Air Products also worked on Indonesia's three existing LNG projects - PT Arun, PT Badak and Tangguh.
