SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Ube Industries restarted its caprolactam plant in Sakai on 15 April, after completing a debottlenecking process that raised the unit's capacity by 5,000 tonnes/year to 100,000 tonnes/year, a company source said on Wednesday.

The plant was taken off line on 15 March for maintenance and debottlenecking.

Ube Industries has two other caprolactam lines, each with a 50,000 tonne/year capacity, in Yamaguchi prefecture.
