SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Malaysia’s Petronas Chemicals Group (PCG) has appointed Abd Hapiz Bin Abdullah as its new executive director, president and CEO, effective 1 May.
Abd Hapiz Bin Abdullah will take over from Tengku Mahamad Bin Tengku Mahamut, who will then become an adviser to the new president and CEO, PCG said in a disclosure released to Bursa Malaysia late on Wednesday.
Abd Hapiz Bin Abdullah was a former managing director at DuPont Malaysia and regional director at Asia Pacific Glass Laminating Solution. He has more than 25 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.
He is the chairman of the Chemical Council of Malaysia and an executive council member of the International Chamber of Commerce Malaysia.
