SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical plans to restart its 100,000 tonne/year bisphenol-A (BPA) plant at Kashima at the end of June, a company source said on Thursday.

The plant was shut down following the 11 March earthquake and tsunami.

The company runs a 120,000 tonne/year BPA plant at Kurosaki.

Operations at the Kurosaki BPA plant were unaffected by the quake, the source added.
