SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Daqing Petrochemical restarted its 94,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile (ACN) plant at Daqing on 25 April after a scheduled week of maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
The ACN plant’s output is mainly supplied to Daqing Petrochemical’s downstream 100,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) and 65,000 tonne/year acrylic fibre (AF) plants, the source added.
The AF plant is running at 80% capacity to allow more ACN cargoes can be used to produce ABS, the source said.
The producer is expected to take the ACN plant off line for a 15-day turnaround in July, the source said, but could not provide the exact dates.
Both plants are located at Daqing city in the northeastern province of Heilongjiang.
