SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp restarted its residual fluid catalytic cracker (RFCC) in Mailiao earlier in the week after completing a turnaround, a company source said on Thursday.
The RFCC, which can produce around 325,000 tonnes/year of propylene, resumed operations on 3 May following a turnaround that began around mid-March, said the source.
Formosa also runs another RFCC unit with the same propylene capacity at the site. The facility is expected to undergo a 40-day turnaround in June, according to an earlier ICIS news report.
