SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Nan Ya Plastics shut down its No 1 butanediol (BDO) plant for a month-long maintenance turnaround on Thursday, a company source said on Friday.
The plant in Mailiao has a nameplate capacity of 40,000 tonnes/year.
“We have limited supply due to the shutdown. So there’s no pressure to sell,” said the source.
The company’s No 2 BDO line at the same site has a nameplate capacity of 60,000 tonnes/year and is running at full capacity, the source added.
