LONDON (ICIS)--European May epoxy resin contracts rolled over on the back of a balanced market and little feedstock pressure, it was revealed on Tuesday.
One producer announced a €150/tonne ($214/tonne) increase for the month, despite upstream prices for epichlorohydrin (ECH) and bisphenol A (BPA) remaining relatively stable.
However, this figure was aimed at the few customers paying much lower levels to bring them in line with the rest of the market.
A couple of buyers also said they took on €20–40/tonne rises but, again, they were paying less than others and are now purchasing liquid epoxy resins for about €3,000–3,050/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).
Solid epoxy resins are also largely stable at €3,050–3,200/tonne FD NWE.
