Arkema shuts S Korea PMMA plant for two-week maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--France’s major chemicals producer Arkema shut its 40,000/tonne polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) plant at Jinhae in South Korea on 7-8 May for maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.

The plant is scheduled to remain off line for two weeks instead of one month as originally expected, the source added.

No further details were provided on how the plant’s shutdown will affect output.
