TORONTO (ICIS)--Selenis Canada has started up its polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant in Montreal and is making first customer shipments, the company said in a filing late on Thursday.Selenis, which is owned by Portugal’s Imatosgil Group, acquired Shell’s 95,000 tonne/year polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT) plant in Montreal in 2009 and converted it to PET production.
The company did not disclose the plant's PET capacity. Officials did not respond to a request for comment.
