Chevron Phillips begins restart of Texas cracker

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Chevron Phillips Chemical on Friday began to restart its Sweeny 24 cracker in Texas, according to a public filing.

The 676,000 tonne/year unit had been off line since the end of March for planned maintenance.

Chevron Phillips does not comment on its operations, according to a spokesperson.

The company has two other crackers in Sweeny with combined ethylene capacity of 1.2m tonnes/year.
