SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Boyuan United Chemical restarted its 600,000 tonne/year natural gas-based methanol line at Inner Mongolia in north China on 16 May, a source from the leading methanol producer said on Monday.

The line was shut down on 13 May because of a mechanical issue.

The brief outage had a limited impact on the domestic market, the source added.

The producer’s other 400,000 tonne/year line at the same site is operating at nearly full capacity, the source added.
