Malaysia’s PETRONAS restarts 300,000 tonne/year MTBE plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Malaysia’s state-owned oil giant PETRONAS restarted its 300,000 tonne/year methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) plant at Kuantan in Pahang state on Thursday morning, following a planned maintenance, a source close to the company said.

The plant was shut from 18 April to 19 May.

The operating rate of the plant was not immediately available.
