HOUSTON (ICIS)--Enterprise Products and partner Energy Transfer have begun a “binding commitment period” for shippers to reserve capacity on their planned 450,000 bbl/day joint-venture oil pipeline from ?xml:namespace>
The commitment period runs from 25 May to 8 July.
If built, the project will provide an outlet for oil supplies which are currently stranded at Cushing because of a lack of southbound pipeline infrastructure.
Subject to customer commitments and regulatory approvals, the pipeline is expected to begin service in the fourth quarter of 2012, the companies said.
