Dow to commission Thai PO unit in September

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Dow intends to commission its propylene oxide (?xml:namespace>PO) unit in September, and aims to start up its propylene glycol (PG) unit in January 2013, said a company source on Friday.
Both units are located at Thailand’s Asia Industrial Estates (AIE) site in Map Ta Phut.
The PO plant has a capacity of 390,000 tonnes per year, while the PG unit will have with a production capacity of up to 150,000 tonnes/year, he added.
Dow is the world's largest producer of propylene oxide (PO), propylene glycol (PG) and polyether polyols.
