MOVES: Bayer MaterialScience CEO appointed president of PlasticsEurope

LONDON (ICIS)--PlasticsEurope has appointed CEO of Bayer MaterialScience, Patrick Thomas, as its new president, the pan-European plastics industry association said on Monday.

Thomas will succeed Jacques van Rijckevorsel effective immediately.

“The plastics industry is an important global player that contributes significantly to the three pillars of sustainability and we plan to work together with all other  players to ensure that the European economy continues to thrive and to grow for the benefit of the society and without damaging the planet or overstretching our resources,” said Thomas.
