HOUSTON (ICIS)--US fuel ethanol inventories were down in the last week of May despite a small gain in daily production, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Thursday.
Ethanol stocks stood at 20.23m bbl in the week ended 27 May, down 2.7% from 20.80m bbl in the previous week.
Meanwhile, US production of the biofuel rose by 0.8% to 909,000 bbl/day in the same period, the EIA said.
US ethanol output in May averaged 893,250 bbl/day, up 1.2% from 882,800 bbl/day in April.?xml:namespace>
