The company took the complex off line on 23-24 April for around one month and restarted it in the middle of May, the source said.
Marun’s complex includes a 300,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE) plant, a 300,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) unit and a 400,000 tonne/year monoethylene glycol (MEG) facility.
Its HDPE plant produces blow moulding grade material. The company is planning to produce injection, film, fibre and pipe grades later this year.
