The company’s polyformaldehyde plant has three lines, each with a capacity of 20,000 tonnes/year.
Tianye Chemical started commercial operation at its plant’s first two lines in November 2010 and January 2011 respectively.
The two lines have produced more than 10,000 tonnes of polyformaldehyde so far, the source said.
The producer achieved on-spec production at its third line on 7 June after it was started up on 19 May, the source added.
Tianye Chemical’s 200,000 tonne/year methanol plant at the same site supplies feedstock methanol to the polyformaldehyde plant’s lines.
