HOUSTON (ICIS)--Eastman restarted one of its Longview crackers in Texas after shutting the unit down last week to investigate a vibration issue on a compressor, the company said on Monday.
The 141,000 tonne/year cracker was shut down on 9 June, Eastman said.
The unit was back in operation and was expected to produce on-spec ethylene within 24 hours, a spokesperson said.
US-based Eastman has another 141,000 tonne/year cracker in Longview and a larger unit with 358,000 tonnes/year of capacity.
