SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Qinghai Zhonghao Natural Gas Chemical may restart its 300,000 tonne/year methanol line at Ge’ermu city in northwestern China at the beginning of July, a company source said on Wednesday.

The line was shut at the end of May for maintenance.

The facility has a total capacity of 420,000 tonnes/year, comprising a 120,000 tonne/year line and a 300,000 tonne/year line.

The smaller line is operating at full capacity, the source said.

East China cargoes were traded at CNY2,730-2,830/tonne ($422-437/tonne) ex-tank, unchanged from Monday. Cargoes in south China were traded at CNY2,800-2,830/tonne ex-tank, a slight increase of CNY10/tonne from Monday. Both assessments are according to ICIS data.

Other methanol producers in China include China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) and Boyuan United Chemical.
