SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Iran's Veniran Petrochemical will bring on stream its 1.65m tonne/year methanol project at the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Asaluyeh in 2014 as scheduled, a source from Petrochemical Commercial Co (PCC) said on Wednesday.
The methanol project is owned by the National Petrochemical Co (NPC) of Iran and ?xml:namespace>
The remainder is shared by
PCC is the marketing arm of NPC.
Methanol is used to produce formaldehyde, acetic acid, methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) and is used in the production of methanol-to-olefins/propylene.
