LONDON (ICIS)--Mider Helm has restarted its 660,000 tonne/year methanol plant at Leuna, Germany, a company source said on Friday.
The start-up process is expected be completed over the weekend, with the plant fully operational on Monday.
“It will then take a few days to refill the tanks, after which we can resume deliveries to customers,” a source for the Germany-based firm said.
The plant was shut on 3 June for a catalyst change.
Helm AG and French major Total each own 50% of Mider Helm.
