US WR Grace acquires Belgian construction chemicals firm De Neef

HOUSTON (ICIS)--WR Grace has acquired Belgian construction chemicals firm De Neef Conchem for an undisclosed sum, the US-based specialty chemicals firm said on Tuesday.
De Neef Conchem is focused on waterproofing products for the construction industry. The privately-owned firm employs a staff of more than 100 people.
The acquisition is part of Grace’s growth strategy to acquire companies in high-margin segments in the construction industry, it said.
In a related deal, Grace recently acquired Wuhan Meilixin New Building Materials, a China-based manufacturer of waterproofing products, it added.
