HOUSTON (ICIS)--Mossi & Ghisolfi (M&G) chose Corpus Christi, Texas, as the site for its 1m tonne/year polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant and its 1.2m tonne/year purified terephthalate acid (PTA) plant, the company said on Monday.
The single line plant will use the same technology as M&G’s single reactor PET plant in Suape in Brazil, the company said. This will include M&G’s EasyUp SSP technology.
Construction for both plants should last 30 months, M&G said.
Chemtex Global, an M&G subsidiary, will handle the project management, sourcing and construction management for the project
