Two naphtha crackers were shut for scheduled maintenance in June and three crackers were shut for turnarounds in May, according to the official data, which did not disclose the operators of the crackers.
However, June’s ethylene production volume is a 3.1% increase from the corresponding period a year earlier, when four crackers were shut for maintenance in June 2010, the data showed.
