Thailand’s PTTCH on track to shut cracker on 15 July for turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand's PTT Chemical (PTTCH) is on track to shut its 1m tonne/year ethane cracker at Map Ta Phut on 15 July for planned maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.

The turnaround is scheduled until 23 August, she said, adding that the cracker is currently being run at 90% capacity.

PTTCH plans to also shut its 300,000 tonne/year derivative low density polyethylene plant at the same site for a concurrent turnaround with the cracker.
