GUANGZHOU (ICIS)--China’s Changjiang Gas Chemical plans to build a 660,000 tonne/year propane-based polypropylene (PP) plant at Nantong in Jiangsu province, a company source said on Friday.
The project is undergoing a feasibility study at present and is expected to come on stream in two to three years’ time, the source said.
Under the plan, propane would be dehydrogenated to get propylene feedstock for the production of PP, he added.
Changjiang Gas Chemical is a newly established company and has not yet built up any production facilities, according to the source.
