LONDON (ICIS)--Polimeri Europa is planning to restart its cracker at Porto Marghera, Italy, by the end of July, following planned maintenance, a company source said on Friday.
The cracker which has a nameplate capacity of 490,000 tonnes/ year of ethylene went into a six-week planned turnaround at the beginning of June.
Italy-based Polimeri’s sister company Syndial recently closed the Porto Torres, Italy cracker to make way for a bio-based refinery and chemicals complex.
The source said that its other European crackers were running well.
