HOUSTON (ICIS)--US-based Solutia will build a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) plant at its complex in Kuantan, Malaysia, the company said on Monday.
The company did not release capacity figures, start-up dates or cost estimates.
Solutia's Saflex PVB interlayers are used for laminated glass.
Solutia has a facility in Kuantan that makes its Crystex insoluble sulphur, and is the largest facility of its kind in the world. Crystex is used to make rubber.For more on Solutia visit ICIS company intelligence
