PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil (ICIS)--Brazil-based Petrobras may build a lubricant unit at Complexo Petroquimico do Rio de Janeiro (Comperj), the company said on Monday.

Petrobras mentioned the unit in documents it released as part of its 2011-2015 business plan. The lubricant unit was mentioned under "new projects" in the documents.

The company did not provide any other details about the unit.

Among the $224.7bn (€157bn) in investments called for by the business plan, $3.8bn would go towards petrochemicals and $4.1bn for biofuels - including $1.9bn for ethanol and $600m for biodiesel

Petrobras also intends to expand existing refineries and build new ones.

Among the changes that were made, Refinaria Premium I in Maranhao will start in 2016 and not in 2014, as expected in the previous business plan.

Also, Premium II in Ceara, which would start in 2017, was delayed to 2019.
