LONDON (ICIS)--Polimeri Europa’s cracker in Porto Marghera, Italy, is expected to be back online early next week, a company source said on Friday.

The cracker, which has a nameplate capacity of 490,000 tonnes/year of ethylene went into a planned turnaround at the beginning of June. Restart was originally expected by the end of July.

Polimeri’s sister company Syndial recently closed its cracker in Porto Torres, Italy, to make way for a bio-based refinery and chemical complex.
