SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp has shut its 540,000 bpd refinery in Mailiao following a blast at a propylene pipeline over the weekend, a company source and traders said on Monday.

Meanwhile, the company’s No 2 and No 3 naphtha crackers continue to operate, they added.

“The crackers are not affected by the blast,” one trader said.
