SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals is currently operating its 617,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker at Chiba at around 90% capacity after it was restarted as scheduled on 29 July following a turnaround earlier this month, a company source said on Monday.

The cracker was taken off line on 1 July for scheduled maintenance.

Mitsui runs another 450,000 tonne/year cracker at Osaka, which is not slated for a turnaround this year.
