LONDON (ICIS)--An initial European August styrene barge contract has been confirmed at €1,245/tonne ($1,804/tonne), up €129/tonne from the previous month, the buyer involved said on Monday.
According to the buyer, the increase was driven by higher August feedstock costs as well as higher tendencies in the spot market.
The settlement was made on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis. Further confirmation from the seller is pending.
