SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp has declared a force majeure on all grades of petroleum products including base oil from the Mailiao complex, according to a company statement obtained by ICIS late on Monday.

Formosa’s 540,000 bbl/day refinery was shut following a fire at its Mailiao complex over the weekend.

“At this point, FPCC has not been able to determine the length of the delay,” the statement said.

FPCC is a major exporter of gasoline, reformate, diesel and jet fuel as well as base oil in the region.
