SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Xiangyuan Qiyi Coal Chemical Group has signed a construction agreement to build a 1,000 tonne/year methanol-to-olefins (MTO) catalyst plant in Shanxi province, a local government source said on Tuesday.
Output from the 1,000 tonne/year catalyst plant, which will cost yuan (CNY) 450m ($70m), will be used in the company's MTO production process, the source added.
Details on the company’s MTO production were not disclosed by the source.
