HOUSTON (ICIS)--Celanese has promoted John Wardzel to the post of senior vice-president of operations, with immediate effect, the US-based chemicals major said on Tuesday.
Wardzel, up until now head of operations at Celanese’s Ticona engineering polymers business, succeeds Jim Alder who will retire in October after more than 37 years with Celanese.
Celanese also announced the appointment of John Fotheringham as general manager of its advanced fuels technologies business, which includes the company’s technology to produce ethanol from hydrocarbon feedstocks.
Fotheringham was previously general manager of Celanese’s acetyl intermediates business.
Scott Richardson will take over as general manager of acetyl intermediates. ?xml:namespace>
