July average daily production of chlorine in Europe falls 0.2%

LONDON (ICIS)-- Average daily production of chlorine in the EU plus Norway and Switzerland fell to 28,379 tonnes in July, down by 0.2% from June, but up by 2.9% from July 2010, Euro Chlor said on Wednesday.

The July caustic soda stocks dropped to 250,792 tonnes, a 5.2% decrease compared to the previous month, but 12,183 tonnes above the dip of July 2010, when stock levels were at 238,609 tonnes, it said.

Details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway and Switzerland in July 2011 are provided in the following tables.
