11 August 2011 22:03 [Source: ICIS news]PORTO ALEGRE, BRAZIL (ICIS)--Brazil's Petrobras will start up its Colina ethanol refinery in the state of Sao Paulo, on 26 August, Petrobras Bicombustiveis president Miguel Rossetto said on Thursday.
The plant, which is operated by Petrobras and Tereos, following a partnership announced in April 2010, will have a capacity to produce 107,000 cubic metres/year of ethanol.
The executive said that Petrobras also plans to invest in the production of ethanol in Mozambique, where the company has a plant.
According to Rosseto, including all Petrobras ethanol subsidiaries, Brazil imports 400,000 cubic metres/year of ethanol.
